About The Y Shakespear Lodge

The Y Shakespear Lodge is an outdoor education and camp venue at Whangaparāoa, run by YMCA North. It is best known for school camps, holiday camps, team building and group accommodation, and it has more than 30 years of experience.

The lodge is also hired out to corporates, church groups, sports clubs and family gatherings, and it will take weddings. Hire spaces include the Dining Room, the Recreation Hall with presentation equipment and a space called The Barn, plus open areas.

Accommodation sleeps 5 to 11 people per room in the original Shakespear homestead and nearby cabins. Trained staff run activities such as kayaking, archery, climbing and raft building, and catering is available.
